Around the traps

This week’s pic of the week from Estelle Close is of the Indented Head ship wreck, the Ozone, on the northern shore of Victoria's Bellarine Peninsula between Geelong and St Leonards. This is all that is left of an 1886 Scottish-built steam ship. Her first revenue earning voyage took place on December 18,1886, sailing from Melbourne to Mornington, Sorrento, Queenscliff and return. Sadly some of the glamour of the occasion was lost when Ozone, berthing at Queenscliff for the first time, collided heavily with the pier. Photo by Contributed
