A 3D animation on the project website also takes people on a virtual journey across the new bridges, including over the Murray River where construction is well underway.
“With the new bridge over the Campaspe River nearly complete and the main span of the new bridge over the Murray gradually coming together, locals in Echuca and Moama are really starting to get an idea of what their new river crossing will look like,” Major Road Projects Victoria program director Eric Shegog said.
“These artist impressions show just how impressive this stage of the Echuca-Moama Bridge Project is.
“We are thrilled with the progress being made on the new bridges and are excited that locals can now see what they will look like once they’re open.”

The new bridge over the Murray River is steadily coming together, with the main span being built using a balanced cantilever construction method, meaning it can be built across the river from both banks at the same time without the need for a temporary support structure in the middle.
The bridge will measure 622 metres across the Murray River floodplain, with the main span measuring in at 115m, sitting 15 metres above the riverbanks.
The bridge is one of four being built, with the new crossings over the Murray and Campaspe Rivers and two flood relief bridges.
The Echuca-Moama Bridge Project is jointly funded by the Australian, Victorian and New South Wales governments, with stage three being delivered by Major Road Projects Victoria and stage four by Transport for New South Wales.
“The Echuca-Moama Bridge Project is part of the Victorian Government’s record investment in transport infrastructure and the biggest transport infrastructure project in northern Victoria,” Victorian Minister for Transport Infrastructure Jacinta Allan said.
“Once complete, it will provide a vital new link between the towns of Echuca and Moama, providing a safe, reliable crossing for drivers, pedestrians, cyclists and freight vehicles.”
The project is due for completion by mid-2022.
