With a range of events across the region, there are many opportunities for the community to embrace the theme of ‘reflect, respect and celebrate’ on Sunday, January 26.

Gannawarra Shire Council

Barham/Koondrook

A breakfast will be held at Riverside Park in Barham from 8am, with a flag raising ceremony from 8.45am.

Cohuna

Garden Park will host a breakfast from 7.30am, followed by a flag raising ceremony at 8.30am.

Kerang

From 7.30am, Atkinson Park will host a breakfast and flag raising ceremony.

A second ceremony will begin at 9am, and guest speakers Doug Fehring and Mal Johnson will talk at the event.

Lake Charm

Lake Charm Hall will host a breakfast from 8am.

Leitchville

From 5.30pm, Leitchville Sporting Complex will host a barbecue dinner.

A flag raising ceremony, which includes an Australian Citizenship ceremony and official proceedings, will begin at 6pm.

Murrabit

The market site will host a breakfast from 8am, followed by a flag raising ceremony from 9am with guest speaker Nathan Henry.

Quambatook

A breakfast will be held from 8.30am at the memorial hall, followed by a flag raising ceremony from 9.15am.

Murray River Council

Mathoura/Moama

Mathoura and Moama will be having a joint Australia Day celebration at the Soldiers Memorial Park, Mathoura from 9am. The day will begin with breakfast followed by the Australia Day ceremony.

Moulamein

Moulamein will host an Australia Day breakfast at The Triangle from 8am followed by an Australia Day ceremony.

Wakool

Wakool will host an Australia Day breakfast at the Wakool Hall from 10am followed by an Australia Day ceremony.

Tooleybuc

Tooleybuc will host an Australia Day breakfast at Mensforth Park from 7.30am followed by an Australia Day ceremony.

Koraleigh

Koraleigh will host an Australia Day breakfast at the Koraleigh Recreation Reserve from 7am followed by an Australia Day ceremony.

Moira Shire

Barmah

Barmah will host an Australia Day barbecue breakfast at the Jack Edwards Reserve from 8am followed by an Australia Day ceremony and entertainment.

Nathalia

Nathalia will host an Australia Day barbecue breakfast at the Nathalia Recreation Reserve from 6pm followed by an Australia Day ceremony and entertainment.
