With stage three and four well under way on the project, processes are being put in place to make sure work continues.
Program director Eric Shegog said looking after those working on the construction would always come first.
“Safety is our top priority,” he said.
"Work is continuing on the Echuca-Moama Bridge Project and we have strict protocols in place to reduce the spread and minimise the risk of coronavirus.”
Mr Shegog said the project would continue with new systems put in place to monitor the situation.
“To help manage the health and safety of our workers and the community, worksites have been set up on both sides of the river with workers based predominantly on one side or the other,” he said.
"We’ll continue to monitor and follow advice and guidelines provided by both the Victorian and NSW governments and their respective health departments.
"We have strict protocols in place to protect the safety of our construction workforce and the community, including enhanced industrial cleaning arrangements and reducing staff contact.
"Victorians will not be able to travel into NSW unless they have an entry permit under the NSW border closure.”
