He takes the reins from Tony Kew, who did not seek re-election.
John Radeski remains as club captain, and Geoff King was re-elected treasurer.
Two new directors are Jarryd Pearce and Iain Goodway, who join returning directors Andrew Brunker, Shandra Simpson, Jane Glowrey and Ray Phillips.
In his final president’s report, Tony Kew said he was pleased to see the club moving in a positive direction both financially and through management, with the appointment of general manager Sophie Kelly in September.
“We wish her well as she brings a wealth of experience in hospitality, together with marketing skills and a banking background,” he said.
He thanked volunteers “who have been the backbone … without your support the club would have struggled to survive”, and also thanked greenkeeper Terry Howe and his staff and fellow Board members.
On course, there was an 18 hole versus par and nine hole stableford last Thursday. The 18 hole winner was Kerran Leetham on +1 from runner-up Ali Ferguson square, and nine hole winner was Esther Bolton 17 points from runner-up Pauline Sherwin 12.
Saturday was stableford, with A-grade winner Ross Taylor 41 from runner-up Peter Astill 37 and B-grade Nick Metcalfe 39 from runner-up Prue Chalmers 34.
On Wednesday, the A-grade winner was Tom Maw 39 from runner-up Peter Oddy 37, B-grade Geoff McCallum 42 from runner-up Ron Friend 41, and C-grade Tony Kew 36 from runner-up Alan Lord 34.
Coming up we have stroke for monthly medals tomorrow, nine hole stableford on Tuesday, stableford on Wednesday, nine and 18 hole stableford on Thursday, and stableford again next Saturday.
