Kimberley Furness will lead the event on Tuesday, April 30, at the Echuca Civic Centre, presented by Echuca Moama and District Tourism Development Association.
Ms Furness is an expert in all things social media, with experience as the founder and editor of OAK Magazine.
OAK features a physical magazine, podcast, digital resources, and events for regional and rural women in business.
Some of the skills on show include profile optimisation, engagement and community growth through captions, and how to use hashtags to reach a broader audience.
“This session has been designed especially for small business owners and professionals,” Echuca Moama and District Tourism general manager and membership engagement manager Naomi Murray said.
“If you’re beginner to intermediate, come join us and let’s start attracting your ideal customer with engaging content that is authentically your brand and makes you feel proud.
“Even if you’ve been using Instagram for a while, these sessions will get you up to speed with new features and how to leverage them, as well as re-spark your creativity.”
The event will provide businesses targeted feedback and suggestions based on their online presence.
“You can leave with ideas to implement specifically for your business, and put yourself on the radar of an award-winning magazine,” Ms Murray said.
Ms Furness has a decorated career, including the 2023 Bendigo Business Excellence Award, Women in Business finalist, the 2022 AgriFutures Rural Women’s Award, national runner-up, the 2022 AgriFutures Rural Women’s Award, and Victorian winner for media release.
She will use this experience to share marketing strategies and branding campaigns to boost the online presence of local businesses.
The event will be at 11am on Tuesday, April 30, at Echuca Civic Centre, 2 Heygarth St, Echuca.
