Campaspe Shire Council’s Seniors Grants Program is now open for applications.

Campaspe Shire Mayor Chrissy Weller said council was committed to supporting our older residents’ health, wellbeing and social connection.

“This program is a fantastic opportunity for our not-for-profit community groups, organisations and clubs to fund a seniors focused program or activity,” Cr Weller said.

“Applications of up to $1000 can be made to fund innovative projects that effectively address social isolation for seniors.

“This could include, but is not limited to, activities that re-engage seniors ‘post COVID’ and directly support seniors’ programs or support to develop new skills or talents.

“Events hosted by aged care facilities need to be open to the broader senior’s community and not held exclusively for residents.

“The funds are not available to be used for operational costs (ie. wages or insurance).”

Applications must be submitted using the Seniors Program Grant application form and can be handwritten or entered online at www.campaspe.vic.gov.au

Applications close Friday, July 29, with successful applicants expected to be announced on Friday, August 26.
