A woman’s experience with settling in Australia and the battle to become an Australian citizen enthralled those who attended Murrumbidge Council’s International Women’s Day event in Coleambally.
Stina Constantine had the almost 40 women in attendance on the edge of their seats.

They were deeply moved by the love she feels for Australia and commitment to settling here.
Ms Constantine gave an inspiring address about her life experiences, reflecting on her passion for community work, her years spent in Norway and Australia, as well as the many hurdles she has faced, and continues to face, in becoming an Australian citizen.
Murrumbidgee Council Mayor Ruth McRae said she is an ‘‘incredible person who has a deep desire to give back to the community and country she loves so much’’.
‘‘Her tremendous achievements to date speak of her courage and bravery as she continues to overcome adversity in her life,’’ Cr McRae said.
‘‘We were all deeply moved by Ms Constantine’s story and wish her every success as she continues to meet the many barriers that have arisen in her life.’’
