New Life Baptist Church ran its first community Christmas Carnival and Carols at Moama Soundshell on Saturday, December 9.

The night was a great success with an amazing turnout from the community.
Team effort: Members from various churches around Echuca-Moama took part in the Christmas Carnival at Moama Soundshell.
There were lots of freebies (fairy floss, popcorn, snow cones and barbecue) which were enjoyed by all and the volunteers from New Life counted more than 750 sausages that were handed out.
Moama Bakery generously donated 24 loaves of bread for the barbecue.

The food trucks and kids activities were a hit — the kids especially loved the Twisted Science bubbles station, the Billabong Ranch petting zoo and the Make a Face facepainting.

The real highlight of the night was the carols, presented by various members of Echuca Moama churches.

Guest artists from Moama Anglican Grammar graced the stage and star soloist, Georgia Armstrong from St Joseph’s College, also shone brightly.
Kept busy: New Life Volunteers hard at work cooking the free barbecue, including bread generously donated by Moama Bakery.
Georgia and Samuel Kelly also sang a beautiful rendition of The Prayer which had the crowd in raptures.

Organisers said it was a wonderful family night, enjoyed by all and they were very thankful to the Murray River Council for the use of its fantastic venue.
