For parents and families who need a little extra support to make Christmas special, Echuca Moama Projects and the Echuca Moama Uniting Church have joined forces with a toy drive.
Volunteers have been working all year to gather toys for the Christmas period.
The drive is open to anyone in the community who is doing it tough.
“There are toys for parents and grandparents to choose for their families,” volunteer Julie Mansfield said.
“It’s mainly younger children’s toys, up until about age 13.”
Volunteers are still accepting donations directly to the church hall, including wrapping paper or Christmas cards.
“We just need people who are finding it difficult to know that we’re here,” Ms Mansfield said.
“People who are new to struggling might not know that it’s for them as well.”
Toys will be distributed from the Uniting Church hall in Hare St, Echuca, on December 15, 19 and 22 from 10am until 1pm.
