Classroom door forced open

Police are reminding people that school grounds are out of bounds outside of school hours.

It comes after reports of a disturbance at a Deniliquin primary school last week.

Police were called to the school after a classroom door was found forced open on Sunday.

Nothing has been reported stolen, and no other damage within the school was noticed at the time.

A few days earlier, on Wednesday, January 17, emergency services were called to another Deniliquin school when a shed was found alight.

The matter is still being investigated by police, and anyone with information about either incident is asked to contact police on 5881 9299 or CrimeStoppers on 1800 333 000.

Business window damaged

A hole measuring about 30cm was discovered in the window of a Deniliquin business about 11pm on Sunday evening.

Police are reviewing CCTV footage from the area as part of their investigations.
