Between Campbell Rd and Cotton Rd near Cobram on last Wednesday, 10 Cobram Rotarians were out and about picking up litter and discarded objects to tidy up the entrance to the town.

Cobram Rotarian Ellie Stephens said the group encountered quite a few surprises.
“It was amazing what we got,” she said.
“We got cans of spaghetti, a full double-sized mattress, water bottles and boxes.”
The group also found a flat-screen TV among the usual street rubbish.
Cobram Rotary president John Crawford said the group had “adopted” that part of the highway and throughout the years, with Keep Australia Beautiful, tried to keep it as clean as possible.
“We try to do it every year,” he said.
The Cobram Rotary Group is currently seeking new members and will hold a membership night on Wednesday, May 22, at the Cobram Central Hotel.
The event will feature finger food and run from 6pm to 6.30pm.
The Cobram Rotary group can often be seen out and about supporting local community events and was heavily involved in the 2024 Australia Day celebrations.
