Both facilities opened at 3pm on Monday, November 11, with each venue operating from 3pm to 7pm for the remainder of the month.
The council’s acting chief executive officer Amanda Wilson said facility staff were looking forward to a busy summer.
“It is fantastic to welcome people back to the Cohuna and Kerang swimming pools,” Ms Wilson said.
Programs on offer throughout the season will include VICSWIM’s summer program, Morning Laps, community functions, school swimming lessons and swim club events.
The council will introduce new opening hours in December which will be in place until the end of the season in February, with pools open from 10am to 8pm from late December until the end of January.
Both pools will be closed on days forecast to be 23°C or lower in either Cohuna or Kerang.
“Any changes to opening times, including during instances of inclement weather, will be publicised via council’s Facebook page,” Ms Wilson said.
Pools will also be open on most public holidays throughout the season, excluding Christmas Day.
