Daniel Oberin and Kevin Johnson will front court on February 10, 2021 to decide whether there is sufficient evidence for a jury to find them guilty.
No application was made for bail at a special mention hearing on Wednesday, September 30, at Bendigo Magistrates’ Court.
The men are both charged with the murder of Matt Alexander, 29, who was gunned down outside his home at Daltons Bridge early on September 13, 2019.
A crime scene was established at the Eastons Rd property after Mr Alexander was found with life-threatening injuries outside his property shortly after 6am.
He died there from his wounds before he could be transferred to hospital.
Oberin was charged the next day after attending a police station, while Johnson was arrested almost four weeks later.
