Movers and Shakers Market
Campaspe Shire Council will be hosting the Movers and Shakers Market on Thursday, November 28, from 4pm to 7pm at the Echuca Arts Precinct. The market is part of the global 16 Days of Activism campaign, which advocates for violence against women and girls. There will be live music by local artist Amelia May, as well as food and craft stalls. A few health and wellbeing stalls will also be there on the day, offering wellbeing support, support services information, and free women’s checks, including blood pressure and risk screening. The event is free to attend.
CWA pop-up shop
Echuca Murray CWA members are holding a pop-up shop on Thursday, November 28, at the CWA hall, 498 High St, Echuca, from 10.30am to 1.30pm. Devonshire teas will be served. Head along to stock up on preserves, jams, jellies, sauces, cakes, biscuits, Christmas cooking, along with a range of hand crafts suitable for Christmas gifts. Foundry arts market
The Foundry Members Arts Market runs from December 6 to January 27, daily from 10am to 4pm. The yearly event offers an outlet for our regional artists and craftspeople to exhibit their original, unique, well executed artwork and craft in an historic venue in the Port of Echuca precinct. The market aims to capture both local pre-Christmas shoppers and the post-Christmas tourists. The Foundry Arts Space is at 13-17 Murray Esplanade, Echuca. Lions Club of Moama Carols by Candlelight
The Lions Club of Moama will host its traditional Carols by Candlelight alongside Dellmac Entertainment on Sunday, December 8. The event will be held at the Kerrabee Sound Shell, Moama. Ice-cream and coffee vans will be present, and the Lions Club will be selling barbecue, hot chips, and cold drinks. Food will be served from 5:30pm, with carols kicking off at 6pm.
Festival of Christmas Trees
The Echuca Moama Uniting Church will host its annual Christmas tree display from Saturday, December 14, to Saturday, December 21. The display will feature trees created and decorated by the community. The trees will be on show in the church hall daily from 10am to 2pm.
Illumination stations around Campaspe
Campaspe Shire is ready for the festive season with three illumination stations, including one in Echuca at Hopwood Gardens. Community members will have the chance to be featured on Campaspe Shire Council's pages if they post pictures with the installations online using the tags #illuminationstation and #christmasincampaspe. The illumination stations will be up until Monday, December 30.

Echuca Moama and District Parkinson’s Peer Support Group meets from 10am to noon on the fourth Thursday of the month at Echuca Neighbourhood House, Landsborough St, Echuca. Repair cafe
Do you need a small repair on a garment, a knife/tool sharpened or advice on what can be done to repair a loved item? St Mary’s Parish Care for Creation group is working with the Uniting Church to offer an alternative to sending items to landfill. Echuca-Moama Kiwanis Club
Kiwanis’ service is not restrictive but does emphasise supporting children, including graduation awards and the presentation of Terrific Kids certificates in local primary schools. We also operate the 10m vessel MV Kiwanis to provide cruises for disability groups. This informal and eclectic Kiwanis group, with members aged 24 and up, holds dinner meetings on the first and third Monday of each month. Membership could involve, among other tasks, secretarial and/or treasurer’s work, Bunnings barbecues or even assisting with the operation of ‘the boat’. Inner Wheel Club of Echuca

Echuca Bridge Club has weekly duplicate tournaments on Wednesdays and Thursdays starting at 4pm, with hand records always available. Echuca-Moama and District Probus Club
New in town or recently retired and looking to have fun and enjoy great company? How about joining our Probus Club? We meet on the last Monday of the month at Rich River Golf Club at 10am and the golf club puts on a courtesy bus for those that do not drive. (You do have to book for it.) We have a guest speaker each month, and they cover a vast array of topics. We have coffee mornings and lunches, day trips to local and not-quite-so-local attractions, and, in the warmer months, overnight trips as well. Moama Cemetery Volunteers Group meets at the Moama cemetery on the first Saturday of each month from 9am until about 11.30am, finishing with a cuppa. The group helps keep the grounds and older graves tidy, helps in the general maintenance of the cemetery and researches older burials. There is a job for people of every age and capability. English Conversation Circle

Alton Gallery hosts a number of exhibits throughout the year. The current exhibition Paint Me a Song has been extended. Entry is free and all paintings are for sale. Foundry Art Space
The Foundry Arts Space is a volunteer-run community gallery that aims to promote arts in our region. All are invited to the official opening event of "Chrysalis" by Shepparton Textile Artists at 2pm on Saturday, November 2. Echuca Historical Society and museum
Echuca’s Historical Museum is at 1-3 Dickson St. Echuca opposite Hopwood gardens and is open seven days a week, from 10am to 2pm. The society is struggling to keep the doors open and is in need of volunteers to help in the visitor reception area. Requirements are to be able to welcome visitors with a smile, take admission fees and a little bit of housekeeping. Excellent training will be provided and you definitely don’t need to be a history buff or necessarily a local to do the job. Echuca-Moama Family History Group’s research rooms are open at the Old Telegraph Station, 60 Chanter St, Moama. Experienced researchers are keen to assist you in exploring your family history. We can provide guidance to beginners and also to members of the public who are experienced in family history research. There is an extensive library of written and digital resources, including detailed local birth, death, marriage, cemetery and hospital records; plus old newspapers for your research. Access to further information is available, both Australia-wide and internationally, through genealogical and family history databases and websites. Bella A’Capella is a small choir of enthusiastic singers who meet every Monday at the Federal Band hall in High St, Echuca. Did you know a thriving Special Olympics team runs in Echuca? Run by a well-organised local committee, we have accredited coaches that along with enthusiastic volunteers hold regular training sessions for budding athletes in swimming, bocce, basketball, netball and tenpin bowling. If you are over the age of eight with an intellectual disability and a love for sport, come along and see what you can do.
