“Council’s Community Grants Program supports efforts by our community groups to foster social connections and improve facilities,” Mayor Charlie Gillingham said.
As part of council’s 2022/23 budget, $334,000 has been allocated to support the program’s three streams:
• Community Event: Up to $5000 per application to support local events.
• Community Support: Up to $5000 per application to support local projects and activities.
• Major Community Project Fund: Between $10,000 and $125,000 per application to develop infrastructure projects on non-council owned or managed land.
“Successful projects need to align with the Growing Gannawarra – 2021-2025 Council Plan and/or other council strategies which will contribute to the Gannawarra and support our community’s long-term vision,” Cr Gillingham said.
“It is strongly encouraged that any potential applicants read the program guidelines to understand what is required for an application and if your project meets the requirements.”
