The report included the accusation the council's Business Community Response Team had not addressed multiple issues regarding employee safety raised by staff members.
At the time council chief executive Declan Moore rejected the suggestion staff were more at risk at work than anywhere else in the community.
Campaspe Shire Council announced the news on its website on Friday.
“In response to concerns raised by a staff member, a WorkSafe Inspector attended our main office on 2 September 2020 and spoke with several staff, but not management,” the announcement reads.
“Two WorkSafe Provisional Improvement Notices (PINs) were issued by the Inspector to Council on that date: 1. PIN V01044600155L/111-02 — regarding consultation — has been complied with. 2. PIN V01044600155L/111-01 — regarding an unsafe workplace — and reported in the McPherson Media (Riverine Herald, Campaspe News and Kyabram Free Press).
“Following receipt of the notice, Council requested that WorkSafe review it and the notice was paused.
“WorkSafe has now completed its review and cancelled the notice.”
Neither WorkSafe nor Campaspe Shire Council have provided any further comment.
