According to the gallery’s owner Kate Villarroel, the opening night was enjoyed by attendees.
“We had a lot of local people coming through ... everyone seemed to really enjoy the evening,” she said.
“There was a lot of artworks to see and lots of different artists including new artists who had never exhibited before.”
The exhibition showcases works of a number of different artists.

The idea for the retro exhibition was decided on by the Customs House Gallery members six weeks before the exhibition opened.
Over the weeks, artists were able to freely create depending on how they interpreted the theme.
Artworks were also contributed by members of The Foundry and some from the Little Tree Echuca adult art classes.

Ms Villarroel hopes the local community and tourists will continue to support the gallery.
“It is a community gallery and I hope more locals come to visit,” she said.
“It’s a great space for everyone ... and the feedback that I’m getting from tourists is they're really beginning to understand now that there is a big art community here.”

The Retro Art exhibition will be open from Thursdays to Mondays from 10am to 2pm until Sunday, October 20.
The exhibition will also be opening daily during the school holidays for those looking for somewhere to take the kids.
