The disturbing incident occurred early Sunday outside Chantel Plumbe's home in Park View Estate.
An unknown offender picked up a ginger cat, which was dead on the road, and used it to smash the car's windscreen.
Her fiance Tyler Brand posted a message on Facebook, offering $500 to anyone who can identify the offender.
He said he was attempting to get some CCTV footage and give it to police.
Echuca's Senior Constable Steve Taylor said police were called to the house on Sunday morning.
“Someone saw a dead cat around the corner of McSwain Rd and some idiot has thought it would be funny to pick it up and smash a windscreen with it and throw it on the doorstep,” he said.
“It was a messy scene.
“They've had to use some force to smash it.”
Snr Constable Taylor said police were investigating the incident.
“Inquiries are pending,” he said.
