A banquet of fine food, wine and tea was enjoyed by 120 women at the St Mary’s high tea held recently.

Those in the St Mary’s Primary School auditorium on Sunday, June 30, enjoyed a delicious range of savoury and sweet food prepared by the local parishioners.

Entertainment by the Locky Ukers was a highlight of the afternoon, with a range of favourite sing-along songs.

Co-ordinator Jenny Morris was pleased with the success of the event and was most appreciative of the many helpers and generous locals who supported the day.

The major raffle, a lucky door prize and ‘guess the weight of the cake’ competition provided fun for those in attendance and amazing prizes for the winners.

Major prizes were kindly made available by the Caledonian Hotel, Echuca Square Lotto and other generous donors.

The trivia quiz provided a challenge for each table with the eventual winners collecting coffee vouchers from the Odd Captain Cafe in Echuca.

A produce table had a variety of local preserves available for purchase.
