A woman has been fined after she drove through a give way sign and hit another car in Shepparton on Tuesday, July 25.
Shepparton police Sergeant Mark Phillips said a Nissan hatchback travelling west on Haslem St was driven through a give way sign, hitting a Mazda CX-7 SUV being driven south on Hamilton St about 4.55pm.
Both cars spun out of control from the impact of the collision.
The 42-year-old Shepparton woman driving the SUV, and two children who were passengers, were checked by ambulance officers for minor injuries at the scene.
The driver of the hatchback was not hurt in the crash.
Both vehicles were extensively damaged and had to be towed from the scene.
The 33-year-old Shepparton woman driving the hatchback was fined for failing to give way.
