For the seat of Murray Plains there are two Early Voting Centres in Echuca and Swan Hill.
Echuca’s Early Voting Centre is located at 200 Pakenham Street.
Swan Hill’s Early Voting Centre is located at 159 Stradbroke Avenue.
On day one of early voting, Murray Plains had 1353 people cast their ballot.
There are seven contenders in the race for the Murray Plains.
The list is headed by incumbent Peter Walsh, the Leader of the Nationals and features challengers Damien Hurrell (Australian Labor Party), John Brownstein (Australian Greens), Cameron Macpherson (Family First Party), Katia Bish (Freedom Party of Victoria), Glenys Leung (Animal Justice Party) and Andrea Otto (Independent).
At this election, you will also have to vote in the upper house for the Northern Victorian region.
Currently, Labor holds two of the Northern Victoria seats, while the Liberal/National Coalition, Derryn Hinch’s Justice Party and the Liberal Democratic Party are each defending one seat.
Jaclyn Symes (ALP), Wendy Lovell (Liberal), Tania Maxwell (DHJP) and Tim Quilty (LDP) are seeking re-election.
Mark Gepp (ALP) is retiring, with James McWhinney number two on the ballot order for Labor.
