The museum, at the corner of High and Dickson streets, is open again after being closed during the COVID-19 restrictions.
You can view the photographs which tell the stories of the early settlement of the area and be amazed at the old equipment in the large backyard.
From stationary engines to an 1847 gown in the costume room, there is something for everyone.
You can even bring your children who can follow the treasure hunt trail or let them scamper around the yard – maybe lock them in the cell unit.
The museum is open on Saturday and Sunday, June 6-7, from 10am to 2pm.
People are advised to use the hand sanitiser before entering, physical distancing needs to be observed and contact details are a must.
Entry is $6 for adults and $2 for children.
