The prestigious awards identify ERH as being among the best healthcare providers in Victoria, with recognition in the Premier’s Medium Health Service of the Year category.
Chief executive Robyn Lindsay said being named as a finalist is a testament to the hard work, dedication and innovation of all members of the ERH team.
“ERH employs 1000 dedicated individuals, each playing a vital role.
“From those who prepare meals for our patients, the clinical staff providing essential care, to the team tending the gardens where people find solace during life’s toughest moments,” she said.
Over the past year, ERH has hit several key milestones, including a co-design project with the Yorta Yorta people, the traditional owners of the land on which ERH operates.
The collaboration resulted in the creation of both a Reconciliation Action Plan and an Aboriginal Employment Plan.
They have also expanded home-based care services, laying the groundwork for the ERH at Home program, and a clinical services plan and new strategic plan were developed with community consultation.
“We take pride in providing a safe, calm, and connected environment for both our staff and the community we serve,” Ms Lindsay said.
Winners will be announced at the 18th Victorian Public Healthcare Awards Gala Night on Tuesday, November 19.
