So much so, she wanted to help every child in Echuca-Moama share that joy.
The effort she put into her display this year is what led her to be crowned this year's winner of the Riverine Herald's Christmas lights competition.
Not that Ms Easther does it for the recognition.
“It's not why I do it. I do it because I simply love Christmas lights,” she said.
“I of course am very grateful for the win, but I just want to spread joy, especially after the year we had.”
For the past six years, Ms Easther has not only been lighting up her home from November to January, she has been ensuring it makes its mark during the day as well.
“I like to include handmade elements to my display,” she said.
“I know a lot of children can't be up to see the lights at night, so I like to paint some wooden pieces to add for them.”
From a Santa made of pellets to painted Christmas presents, there's something for everyone.
The Echuca Lions Club also had another successful year after its four days of fundraising at the Illawarra Neighbourhood Christmas Lights charity collection.
As in previous years, the residents of the Illawarra Neighbourhood decorated their homes with a Christmas theme.
The collection has again been run by the Echuca Lions Club, with help from residents Greg and Helen Taylor.
“Total funds raised was $4213, a good result in view of the impact of COVID-19, giving a total since the program began about 12 years ago of over $44,000,” Lions Club president John Simson said.
“All funds raised have been donated back into the local community.
“A special thanks to the Illawarra Neighbourhood residents who participated and once again did a tremendous display.
“Thank you to First National Real Estate Charles L King & Co Echuca, who sponsored the event by way of signage, and Cadell Food Service, who donated the lollies distributed to the children on the nights.”
