WITH a new house, new car and now a new husband, you wouldn't think Echuca's Meagan Brady's week could get any better.
That's why she couldn't believe it when she got the call telling her she had won the first $1000 prize in the Riverine Herald and Forty Winks Shop Local promotion.
“I honestly thought someone was playing a prank on me when I got the call,” Meagan said.
“But it was such exciting news. We just got married on Monday so it was a nice phone call to get.”
Her name went in the draw after she shopped at Pet's Domain in Echuca.
And while it was all a bit overwhelming, Meagan said she and husband Patrick had a few ideas on what they could spend the money on.
“Well Patrick is looking to get a pair of new work sunnies,” Meagan said.
“But we also saw Forty Winks was one of the businesses involved so a nice new doona cover set to go in the new house would also be lovely.”
Echuca's Amanda Clohosey was the winner of the $500 prize and Alison McKiterick won the $250 draw.
