A physiotherapist, Ms Lindsay has extensive health management experience, including as chief operating officer at Bendigo Health, as well as experience as a board director on a number of boards.
Board chair Larna Tarrant was delighted to welcome Ms Lindsay as a senior health executive with a strong background in hospital leadership.
“Ms Lindsay commences at ERH during an important time for our organisation as we grow to meet the needs of the community and strive to ensure that our staffing team is supported to maintain high levels of health and wellbeing,” Ms Tarrant said.
“As we move forward there will be high levels of demand placed on the health service and we will need the right mix of long-term planning and short-term action.
“I am confident with the team we have in place we will be able to meet the challenge.”
With a passion for regional health, Ms Lindsay said she was privileged to be appointed to the role and looked forward to contributing to the health and wellbeing of the region.
“Growing up on the Murray River in Red Cliffs near Mildura, the community feels very familiar and has been very welcoming over the past few months,” she said.
“I look forward to bringing to the team my experience in health service management but, I think more importantly, listening to what really matters to the staffing team and our community and supporting us to achieve that together.”
