Over the past 12 months C4GS has enjoyed plenty of opportunity to showcase the region to locals, and to Canberra and Melbourne.
Board chair Leigh Findlay said committee members had spoken about energy, water, freight and transport connectivity, health services, education, housing and workforce.
“Most of our meetings involved painting a picture of who we are as a region and as a city — and let’s be frank, they like what they hear,” he said.
“As we end this year, we are asking the question, why can’t Greater Shepparton dream big?
“Through floods, fires and COVID we have seen how well our community can unite to deliver what is needed, when and where it is needed.
“As the visitors from Canberra and many others this year have observed — we aren’t sitting by waiting for someone else to do it.
“On behalf of the Committee for Greater Shepparton we thank you for your generous support, wise council and entertaining company during the year and we wish you a very merry and safe Christmas and prosperous and fulfilling 2025.”
