The many vehicles that were on show in Finley on Sunday really did shine when the Southern Riverina Vehicle and Machinery Club held its annual event at the Finley Showgrounds.

The Show ‘N’ Shine attracted a great response, with many considering it to be the biggest turnout of vehicles and swap meet stalls so far.
Much loved vintage and restored cars, tractors, motorbikes and even a truck were on display.
Among them was Finley resident Graham Dobie’s 1939 Jaguar SS100.
It was self-built from the chassis, which he had been given for his 70th birthday some 15 years ago.
Bill King travelled from Shepparton in his 1965 Ford Mustang coupe, which he purchased in 1995 and took 25 years to rebuild.
Photos taken in the various stages of reconstruction proved very interesting and showed just how much work goes into the restoration of these vehicles.
The new competition for children’s decorated bikes proved very exciting for Florence and Jasper Thomas-Williams, with their mother Josie dressing them in the same theme as their bikes.
As usual, there were several local organisations assisting in making the event such a success.
Finley Public School P&C members were busy cooking donuts, which proved very popular when some of the students circulated through the crowd helping to sell them.
The many spectators who continually arrived and left during the morning had plenty to keep them entertained and supplied with food and drinks.
The Finley Lions Club members might not be selling wood raffle tickets at the moment; however, they are still working hard for the community.
They were on hand at the event cooking up a storm on the barbecue and selling drinks.
The organisers would like to take this opportunity to thank all the organisations who assisted in any way.
Special thanks were expressed to the many businesses who continue to contribute so generously to raffle prizes and trophies. It is very much appreciated.
