“A dedicated team of 33 lifeguards and team leaders are preparing for the coming season and are looking forward to helping make your visit to our outdoor pools an enjoyable one,” Gannawarra Shire Council chief executive Tom O’Reilly said.
“Council continues to monitor COVID-19 measures in place to protect residents at this time, with arrangements regarding attendance limits and hygiene practices to be confirmed prior to the start of the season.”
The 2020-21 season will also see a revised Weather Temperature Policy implemented.
Outdoor pools will be closed on days the Bureau of Meteorology's website forecasts the temperature for either town to be 23ºC or lower.
These closures, as well as changes to operating hours due to inclement weather, high winds or storm events, will be publicised via the council’s Facebook page.
