Each year, businesses, schools, groups or individuals, create their own Christmas trees to contribute to the display.
Church member Yvonne Pearce said the display was borne out of wanting to revive the town’s Christmas spirit.
“In a way, originally it was started because there wasn’t a huge community response during Christmas,” she said.
“What we are trying to do is keep it going and have that involvement and try each year for a little more involvement.
“It’s built up a lot since the first one until now, it’s built up quite considerably.”
The event has grown immensely since it first began with 24 organisations delivering on one or more Christmas trees.
More schools, community groups and businesses are being urged to take part this year.
Any community groups or individuals interested in creating a tree for the display are encouraged to email echucamoamauca@bigpond.comby Friday, November 29.
All trees must be delivered and set up on Friday, December 13 between 3pm and 5pm.
The display will then be open to the public from Saturday, December 14 to Saturday, December 21 between 10am to 2pm.
