Aaron Spencer, also known as Spencer Street when in drag, will host the event on Saturday, December 2 with another queen, Valencia, to celebrate the festive season.
Mr Spencer has done multiple shows in Seymour and surrounding areas, ensuring drag is visible in regional areas, not just the big city.
Even though he works a lot in regional Victoria, he still receives backlash on social media when announcing events.
“I find that they don’t know how to differentiate between drag shows being something you can choose not to go to, and it’s not something we’re making people go to,” Mr Spencer said.
“We’re just creating events that people can attend and enjoy.”
Mr Spencer said he usually ignored the backlash, but some comments were frustrating.
“I feel as if some people ain’t doing proper research into what’s actually happening,” he said.
“I find that a lot of facts that are coming out of people’s mouths are, in a sense, false.
“At the end of the day, drag is an art form.”
He said drag was about spreading love and happiness, and giving people enjoyment.
“We’re not out here trying to push an agenda,” Mr Spencer said.
He said drag shows also helped give queer people visibility, especially in regional areas, showing that people could live the way they wanted to without worries.
This is why drag bingo aims to make people smile and have a good time.
“It’s about three and a half hours of entertainment of six fabulous shows with bingo,” he said.
“It’s not like regular bingo; we don’t rush through the numbers and have a bit of banter.
“We see it more like a comedy show, and you’re there to have fun.
Mr Spencer encourages adults to enjoy a night of spectacular Christmas performances that will leave them smiling from ear to ear.
“Everyone is welcome — whoever is ready for a good time,” he said.
