Michael De Jager produced the goods in the Melbourne Cup Medley event, posting an impressive 43 B grade points heading into the club championships.
Jock, Troy and Brendan needed a countback to separate them in A grade, whereas Ken was the clear standout of C grade.
The par 5 11th played short with three players converting their eagle chances.
In all, 203 golfers played the east course with 35 points, on countback winning a voucher.
A grade: 1st: Jock Watson (41 c/b), 2nd: Troy Kenny (41 c/b), 3rd: Brendan Baumann (41).
B grade: 1st: Michael De Jager (43), 2nd: Angus Baldwin (39 c/b), 3rd: Dieter Zeissner (39).

Thursday November 5
Former educator, Bernie Altmann, used to love teaching statistics and after Thursday’s round his extraordinary score of 47 points would definitely be a great example of an outlier.
Neville Speight was a distant five points back in A grade but was clearly the standout, whilst a steady 38 was enough for Len to claim B grade from Danny.
In other golfing news, Craig Griffin’s approach shot on the 9th from last week was successfully found by the mid-week bowlers in the ditch of the 3rd rink.
In all, 206 golfers played the east course with 33 points, on countback winning a voucher.
A grade: 1st: Neville Speight (42), 2nd: Patrick Hannon (37 c/b), 3rd: Greg Norwood (37 c/b).
B grade: 1st: Len Adams (38 c/b), 2nd: Danny Powell (38), 3rd: Fred Harrison (37 c/b).

Saturday, November 7
A gargantuan field of 254 participated on the east course in the first round of the club championships, with nett 75 on a countback, winning a voucher.
The gross winners all had superb days as did Slattery, Allan, Guy and Jeffery who are leading the nett competitions for their respective grades.
Guy’s day got even better after taking home the monthly medal, but he failed to celebrate as hard as Jennings after his good fortune of the 8th.
A grade: 1st: Sean Slattery (nett 67), 2nd: Bill Bayles (nett 69), 3rd: Stephen Levy (73 gross).
B grade: 1st: Paul Allan (nett 70), 2nd: Ash Weldon (nett 71 c/b), 3rd: Kaine Anderson (81 gross).
C grade: 1st: Alan Guy (nett 67 and monthly medal), 2nd: John Azzopardi (40), 3rd: Joop Flokstra (85 gross).
D grade: 1st: Garry Jeffery (nett 71), 2nd: Nathan Beck (nett 72 c/b), 3rd: Michael Delaney (93 gross).

Monday, November 9
A stroke max competition was held for a 9-hole competition on the east course.
The run down went to 39 with 47 entrants.
A grade: 1st: Susan Hull (38), 2nd: Heather Gunstone (42 c/b), 3rd: Glenda Phillips (42).
B grade: 1st: Carol Schulz (32), 2nd: Raylene Knight (36), 3rd: Deb Quittner (37 c/b).
Helen Henderson has taken out the final of the Monday Stellar award.

Wednesday, November 11
A field of 113 ladies played in a stroke competition which incorporated the first round of the club championships.
There were some fantastic scores with the run down going to 70 points.
It was held on the east course.
The overall winner was Leonie Dunne on 64 points.
