Moama Anglican Grammar school has officially made Gunbower Estate available for student use.

Primary and secondary school captains were the first students to visit the property to learn about the campus’s history, participate in a welcome ceremony and tour the homestead and grounds.
The students were accompanied by senior staff, board members and Geoff and Alex Kent of G&A Kent Charitable Trust, whose philanthropic donation made the purchase of the estate possible.
School principal Scott Downward said the opening marked a milestone for Moama Anglican Grammar, with the site providing a unique educational opportunity.

“It was a remarkable experience for our students to engage with the history of Gunbower Estate and meet our most generous donors,” he said.
Acquired earlier this year, the 84-acre (33.99ha) site will host hands-on learning, including conservation efforts to support regional wildlife, environmental art, agricultural and primary industry studies, and outdoor recreation, per the school’s 2024 & Beyond report.
“This facility will offer integrated learning opportunities that complement our existing curriculum,” Mr Downward said.
Pending council approval, outdoor education activities, including overnight camps and a ropes course, have also been signalled as a future opportunity for the site.
