For the first time since the start of lockdown, gyms will be re-opened to limited numbers depending on the gym itself.
FITmob Echuca owner Shannon Finke said it was a positive to get gyms re-opened.
“It's definitely good to open the doors again,” he said.
“We will be back on Friday and then have the weekend open as well, which will give us a bit of time to get things going again and settle back into the restrictions on what we can have.”
Gyms will operate with smaller capacity numbers due to space requirements, as well as limits on the number of people in classes.
Mr Finke said while it was good to be back, the restrictions were tough.
“We're limited to 10 per class and operating indoors with caps, that means we won't be able to have as many people as we would like,” he said.
“It's frustrating, but we are finding ways to adapt. We've increased the number of classes we will be hosting to accommodate and hopefully that will allow us to meet demand.”
Mr Finke said a number of previous practices would return to get the gym back running.
“People will need to book their workouts in,” he said.
“And we will also have QR codes for signing in when entering. But these are things we do to get operating again.”
