HEATHCOTE and District Football Netball League games will resume on Saturday, making it one of the first Victorian-based leagues to return after the state's recent COVID-19 lockdown.
Players with a Melbourne residential address will not be able to line up for the weekend's games, while the league is still awaiting confirmation from AFL Victoria on crowd numbers.
The fixture is set to pick up at round eight, which sees a tantalising top-of-the-table clash between undefeated sides LBU-White Hills in the football, while Leitchville-Gunbower will be itching for its first win when hosting seventh-placed Huntly.
LBU's A grade netball side will also be looking to snap its losing streak on the netball courts, while LG aims to add to its first win prior to the extended break.
An updated season fixture sees the league retain an 18-game fixture, with the grand final moved back two weeks to September 18.
Playing out round eight and nine over the next fortnight, the fixture then jumps straight to round 12.
Contesting rounds 12-18 first, the draw then circles back to its round 10 and 11 games on August 14 and 21 before finals begin on August 28.
