On Sunday, October 27, Southern Cross Kids will host a theatre dinner called Curse of the Mummy to fund raise for programs for kids experiencing abuse and neglect and help break the cycle.
Southern Cross Kids Camps, a non-profit organisation, has been transforming young lives for more than two decades, helping children and teenagers overcome the impacts of neglect and abuse through camps and experiences.
Kyabram representative Michelle Gorman said they had done three of these events in the past with the help of community members and local businesses generously donating food, items or services.
“The aim for the event is to fully fund raise so that each child in our groups can go on these camps and they or their families don’t have to worry about cost,” Ms Gorman said.
“With these camps, we want to show them that love exists and they have a future outside their situations.”
Hosted at Kyabram's Community Church, guests will be immersed in an archaeological dig site, embarking on a thrilling quest to uncover Pharaoh Sudnadundat's fabled golden pyramid.
Indulge in a night of intrigue, savouring Middle Eastern cuisine while supporting a noble cause.
Dinner will be served at 5pm before the experience starts at 6pm and goes until 11pm.
Tickets are $40 a person and includes the experience and dinner.
If you cannot make it to the dinner, Southern Cross Kids Camps welcome donations at any point online at https://sckc.org.au/
