Many would know Marty from his five years on Hey, Hey, it’s Saturday with his father, Maurie Fields, Blankety Blanks, The Battle of the Sexes or his ongoing role as Sgt Roy Holland in Blue Heelers.
He is not long back in the country from his fifth tour of Los Angeles, Las Vegas and the New York Comedy Club and will lend star power to the evening.
The fundraiser is being held to support Trent’s wife Nacole and their children Tyler and Laura.
Rich River chief executive Shane Gloury said Trent was a huge part of the team, just as he was in the many other roles he filled across the region in recent years, including as a journalist with the Riv in Echuca-Moama, the Pastoral Times in Deniliquin and calling the footy on the weekends with EDGE FM.
“And the esteem in which Trent was held is being reflected in the massive amount of donations we are receiving for our major raffle, silent auction and auction on the night.’’
Items include signed and authenticated sporting memorabilia, golfing getaways at clubs such as Peninsula Kingswood and Kingston Heath, four Medallion Club seats at Marvel Stadium for any game of your choice in 2025, a High Tea at Parliament House and many more.
Dysons has even donated a 57-seat bus for an unforgettable day out to a destination of your choice.
Whether it’s a winery tour, a golf day, or another exciting adventure, the possibilities are endless.
“It doesn’t matter if the donation is big or small, it all goes to supporting such a worthy cause,” Mr Gloury said.
“The evening features a wonderful two-course dinner and as well as getting plenty of laughs with Marty Field, and Stumbling North have also donated their time and will be performing throughout the night.
“This event will be extremely important for the Horneman family, and I think this fundraiser will be an opportunity to celebrate his life in a way which captures Trent’s own happy and friendly personality – with a fun night out.”
Tickets are on sale, with 100 per cent of proceeds going to the Horneman family.
Doors will open at 6.30pm, tickets are $75 each and are available at www.trybooking.com/CTTSI or this QR Code
