To make life a little easier for students, Shepparton’s La Trobe University and Goulburn Ovens Institute of TAFE are hosting their open days on the same day.
Both Fryers St campuses will open on Saturday, August 13 for community members to explore their options for studying in the Goulburn Valley.
Stacey Devlin completed a diploma of nursing at GOTAFE and is currently studying a bachelor of nursing at La Trobe University.
She said the diploma and experience as an enrolled nurse gave her the knowledge and skills to pursue her bachelor with ease.
“My aim is to study my training and assessment from home while completing my grad year and then I’d like to teach diploma students,” she said.
“I want to educate and ensure the up-and-coming nurses of the future think critically — I’m very passionate about that.”
The open day will give potential students the opportunity to seek advice, speak with current students and staff and explore course options, along with tours of facilities and other activities.
GOTAFE’s open day event will take place on Saturday, August 13 from 10am to 2pm at GOTAFE Fryers St campus.
