For more than three decades, Lions Clubs around the globe have been sponsoring an art contest in schools and youth groups where participants create peace posters.
This gives children everywhere the chance to express their visions of peace and inspire the world through art and creativity.
The theme this year is ‘Peace Without Limits’.
Lions International knows that for peace to be anything more than a possibility, we need to make it a priority.
This year, it is asking students to create a poster that speaks to our world's infinite potential for kindness once we commit to pursuing the idea of peace without limits.
The contest is open to students aged 11 to 13 years old as of November 15, and the poster is to be no smaller than 33x50cm and no larger than 50x60cm and artwork is to be unframed.
All information and regulations are outlined on page 43 of the Finley Show schedule, which can be viewed on the Finley Show website.
Participants should take special note of these conditions as there are lots of important factors surrounding the artwork entered.
All artwork is to be delivered to the Finley Show pavilion by 4.30pm Wednesday, August 28 for judging, and all entries will be on display during the Finley Show on Sunday, September 1.
Winning artwork will be collected after the event to compete at the district level.

Dutch Thunder Wildlife Shelter is excited to announce its first free Community Wildlife Information Session which will be held in Tocumwal on Saturday, August 17.
The event will be held from 11am to 3pm in the Tocumwal Library meeting room.
This session has been made possible thanks to the Strawberry Fields Community Grants program.
Dutch Thunder is hoping this will be the first of many such sessions.
At the Community Wildlife Information session, you will learn how to recognise common native species, know when they need assistance or to come into care and what to do to give them the best chance of recovery.
Dutch Thunder will discuss the risks involved in rescuing and transporting injured wildlife and how to safely assess and contain an animal without inducing further stress or trauma.
These sessions are designed to engage community members in wildlife rescue by providing some basic knowledge and skills needed to start helping with native animal rescue and emergency transport to a nominated vet or wildlife shelter.
As a 'Community Wildlife Rescue Volunteer' you will give the animal the best chance of survival.
Though this is a free session, there is a booking fee of $10 which will be refunded once you attend on the day.
This is to ensure that resources and catering is not wasted.
To book your spot in this amazing program, email Kylee at dutchtthunderwildlife@gmail.com or call 0417 560 910 for further information.
Please note that participants must be aged 16 and older.
