At 54 years old, Lisa Marie was just 12 years older than her Dad was when he passed away.
The announcement of her passing came just hours after Priscilla Presley had confirmed that her daughter had been rushed to hospital.
“It is with a heavy heart that I must share the devastating news that my beautiful daughter Lisa Marie has left us,” Priscilla said.
"She was the most passionate, strong and loving woman I have ever known."
Long-time admirers of Elvis and Priscilla, Denis and Pamela Hucker have won many awards for their portrayal of the rock ‘n’ roll king and his wife.
Together they own more than 100 Elvis and Priscilla outfits each.
Denis said he and Pamela were both shocked by the announcement, particularly as Lisa Marie had just attended the Golden Globes on Tuesday night when actor Austin Butler was awarded a Globe for his portrayal of Elvis.
“It’s a real shame,” Denis said.
“She’s not exactly old. She has four kids. You wouldn’t wish that on anyone.”
“Lisa Marie actually owns Graceland. Elvis left it in her name, so I have no idea what will happen with that now.”
Denis predicted there may be a few Lisa Marie Presley impersonators walking around at the next Parkes Elvis Festival to pay tribute to the daughter of the legendary music icon.
