The exhibition complements the gallery’s major exhibition offerings for the PHOTO 2024 International Festival of Photography.
The exhibition, titled Australian Awe, features photographic prints inspired by parks and bushland of north-east Victoria.
Bell has a fascination with the wonders ofnature. Fuelled by this, she aims to capture the essence of the intriguing elements that she finds.
Bush walks, and fossicking for tiny worlds spark joy, which she captures in her images.
This allows her to share the awe-inspiring realms of the natural world with viewers, including the most minute details.
The founder of Lyptus Art, Bell curates bespoke pieces designed to evoke emotions and spark conversations and connections to nature.
Her aim is to bring the beauty of the Australian outdoors into people’s homes through her art.
Benalla Art Gallery director Eric Nash said her works are evidence of the boundless inspiration artists of our region draw from our natural surroundings.
“Through her photographs, she encourages us to appreciate the beauty in the small details, particularly the incredible textures and colours that can be found all around,” Mr Nash said.
All works in the exhibition are available for purchase from the gallery or by contacting gallery@benalla.vic.gov.au or calling 5760 2619.
