Loco Shed opening the doors for the first time in decades

Recently, Heritage Victoria awarded funds as part of the 2020 Living Heritage Grants Program for the Loco Shed’s restoration. The grant provided $190,000 for conservation of the site.

From 9am to 1pm on July 21, the community can explore the building, view historical photographs and records, and learn about its future as a museum and function space.

Loco Shed committee members and volunteers have been restoring the space, and the open day offers a chance to see their work.

Loco Shed is located at 95 Sturt St, Echuca. Enquiries can be made at info@locoshed.com.au and a Facebook event has been created for the open day.
