Campaspe Crime Investigation Unit detectives have charged a man with stealing a car in Echuca last week.

Police allege the man stole the Mazda 2 sedan from a Hare St, Echuca, property about 5.15am on Wednesday, January 22.
Police said officers spotted the car in Bendigo on January 24, and a man was arrested.
The Bendigo man, 31, was charged with theft of motor vehicle, two counts of attempted theft from motor vehicle and unlicensed driving.
He was bailed to appear at Bendigo Magistrates’ Court on March 31.
The 92-year-old car owner also had a motorised scooter stolen from his property between 4pm on January 20 and 8.15am on January 21.
The man has not been charged over this theft.
The scooter has not been recovered by police.
