Moama cricketers primed for big season

MOAMA Cricket Club is confident it can make a strong imprint on the Goulburn Murray Cricket competition this season beginning on Saturday.

After missing out on finals action last season, the club's A grade side will be hungry to taste the ultimate success just like every other side in the competition.

While they may be a young group, the players have continued to develop and mature in previous seasons which has them believing they can challenge the best teams.

The club's South African import - a top order batsman and fast bowler - will be key to the team's success and they expect him to terrorise opposition sides.

Moama's aim is to provide an environment where players know it is okay to make mistakes because teammates and coaches want to help individuals become better players and people.

Anyone who walks through the doors of the Moama Cricket Club will be welcome with open arms as young and old play together, on and off the field.

No matter one person's experience everyone can learn from one another.

A grade:Tongala v Moama, at Tongala Recreation Reserve.

B grade:Moama v Northern United, at Moama Recreation Reserve.

C grade:Girgarre v Moama, at Girgarre Recreation Reserve.
