The Murray River Council-organised event will run from July 31 to August 21, with stunning new installations and projections on the backdrop of Moama’s natural reserve and Murray River.
Moama’s Horseshoe Lagoon will transform into a kaleidoscope of colour and sound and is set to entice visitors from across Victoria and New South Wales.
Moama Lights is set to become an annual event and a highlight on Echuca-Moama’s winter events calendar while also stimulating the night-time economy.
The show is exclusive to Echuca-Moama, focusing on local stories and artwork.
General admission tickets for this year’s event will be on sale from Friday, March 11, at noon.
The 2021 event booked out well in advance and people are encouraged to get in early, so as not to miss out.
“With an enticing new show, brand new stories and a new backdrop along the upgraded footbridges at Horseshoe Lagoon, this year’s event is set to be bigger and better than ever,” Mayor Chris Bilkey said.
“The 2021 event was funded through a government grant and even though we have been unsuccessful in receiving government funding in 2022, we decided to still run the event (which is non-profit) and charge an entry fee.
“This has allowed us to bring a city-quality event to Moama.
“It will be another spectacular night out that you don’t want to miss, so I would encourage people to get in early to secure their tickets.”
