Two community information sessions will be hosted by Greater Shepparton City Council for Murchison, Toolamba and Mooroopna residents next week to provide an update on the current outlook for flooding, flood recovery actions and how to be emergency ready.
The sessions will be held on:
- Tuesday, July 11 at 6pm at Murchison Community Centre, 10 Watson St, Murchison; and
- Wednesday, July 12 at 6pm at Mooroopna Education and Activity Centre, 23 Alexandra St, Mooroopna.
The sessions will be delivered by council in partnership with VicSES, Goulburn-Murray Water and the Goulburn Broken Catchment Management Authority.
The topics covered will include updates on weather predictions, water releases and river levels.
Community members will also learn about how to manage basic emergency preparation, warning messages and what they mean, flood levels and flooding patterns for the riverine area.
Residents are invited to attend with no need to RSVP.
Light refreshments will be provided.
