That is what Murchison-Toolamba’s A-grade coach Jenni McCluskey expects from her playing group this season.
“Currently we are working really hard on our fitness, and as the season comes closer, we’ll be focusing on team systems rather than individual work,” McCluskey said.
“Our aim for 2021 is to reach finals in all our grade levels.”
The former Mooroopna mentor, who was set to lead in 2020, knows exactly what Grasshoppers are capable of.
“It was coming together beautifully last year, so I’m hoping we can pick up where we left off,” she said.
“The majority of girls selected for A-grade last year are returning, so that’s promising.”
Retaining senior talent is important. Building for the future is imperative. And according to McCluskey, the Hoppers have zero problems in both departments.
“We have a lot of talented under-17s coming through the ranks who will likely play seniors, so that is exciting. Overall, I’m pretty happy with where we are sitting at the moment.”
