The Steamers have been the defending champions of the event for the last 12 months after any remaining BPL competitions were cancelled in 2020 due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Play will start on Tuesday, February 23 at Moama Bowling Club from 11am as some of Australia’s best bowlers take to the greens.
Walker said he was looking forward to playing at the level once again.
“We had some great success last year, winning the final in a tie-breaker,” he said.
“Playing against a number of quality bowlers is something you can never take for granted. We are very fortunate to mark the return of the competition in front of our home crowd as well.
“Hopefully, this week can be the start of a big year for bowls.”
Walker is set to play alongside Ryan Bester and Katelyn Inch for the Steamers who will be coached by Kevin Anderson.
“Katelyn and Ryan are great teammates, and I can’t wait to see what we can do,” Walker said.
“I’ve been putting in a few hours on the rinks recently so hopefully it can all come together.”
The week’s event is also set to incorporate the national finals of the Bowls Premier League Cup.
The competition will feature an East Shepparton side which has a bye in the first round before taking on NSW side Soldiers Point at 7.30pm on Monday night.
Entry is free to the events.
