The exhibit, which opens on Friday evening, will feature artworks by local community members and Bendigo Kangan Intitute TAFE art students, curated by proud Yorta Yorta women Vicki Walker and Denise Morgan Bulled.
This will be the 14th year that the Echuca and surrounding Aboriginal community have exhibited with The Foundry.
Aunty Vicki said that this year’s theme for NAIDOC — Get Up, Stand Up, Show Up — is about celebrating the First Nations’ people’s proud history, and celebrates that we do continue to get up, stand up and show up for change.
The exhibition will be running from 6pm Friday, June 24, until July 17.
The Foundry at 13-17 Murray Esplanade, Echuca, is open from 11am until 3pm weekdays, and 10am until 4pm on weekends and public holidays.
